To be a productive and successful person, you have to learn from your mistakes; and to be able to learn from your mistakes, you have to be comfortable with making them. But in general, perfectionists are not. They tend to avoid making mistakes in every aspect of life, including in how they show up socially and feeling more guilt and shame than the average person when they do make a mistake.
Perfectionism has been linked to a whole host of problems including depression and anxiety. Today's episode makes a case for why perfection is not necessarily worth pursuing, but showing up as the person you already are wins big.
